Our purpose and our mission is to come alongside believers to guide, equip, support and comfort, admonish out of love and encourage the believer while helping them relate God's truths to their lives.  As in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."...


The purpose of this ministry is to equip married couples and those wanting to marry with the tools necessary to maintain and live out an effective Godly marriage. The purpose will be worked out through biblical instruction mentor ship, fellowship, an effective prayer life and counseling.


The purpose of the Financial Management ministry is to provide a foundation of financial stewardship by utilizing biblical principles.  We want to equip and empower the church family with an awareness of their finances that will allow them to make better decisions in their lives and to therefore, be better able to contribute to kingdom building by giving an offering that more accurately reflects their appreciation and worship of our God.


The purpose of this ministry is to educate participants about total care of one self (Mind, Body and Spirit) and to encourage and challenge individuals to care for their for the temples (our bodies) and to prevent self-imposed risk.


My Role: As the Director of Maturity, I am committed to glorifying God by teaching His infallible word to those who profess faith in Jesus Christ, as well as implementing and overseeing avenues for the spiritual development of the Body of Christ. My mission is to expedite the spiritual transformation in the life of believers through comprehensible, theological, and practical instructions of the Word of God that compels them to openly express genuine love for God and others through acts of service. My main objective is to equip the saints for the work of service, in order to build up God’s people so that every man, woman, and child can be mature in Christ. Ministries that fall under the Maturity department include the following: the Biblical Counseling Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Christian Education (Sunday School & Mid-Week Bible Studies), Church Training Institute (CTI), Financial Management Ministry, Health & Wellness Ministry, and the Marriage Enrichment Ministry.

My Passion: I have a passion for making disciples and providing support for developing ministry leaders & members, through evangelism, inspiration, edification, admonishment (in love and gentleness), and exhortation.

As Director of Maturity, my sole desire is to promote the Spiritual growth and maturity of God’s chosen people by strategically targeting the WHOLE person:

  • Head – Content- Bible studies, helping Christians to think biblically
  • Heart – Character – addressing the heart motivations, hurts, habits, and hang-ups that hinder Christ likeness through Biblical counseling and support groups
  • Hands – Competence- learning the practical application of God’s word in spirit, mind, and body.
  • Home – Church – teaching them how to function in the Body of Christ

My Family: I have been a member of Good Hope for 19 years. I am married to Cynthia Rose, my lovely wife of 30 years. I have one daughter, 27 yrs. old and two young boys, Aaron 13 and Jonathan 12 years old. I have been a member of Good Hope since 1995; ordained as a Deacon in 1998, and was licensed as a minister of the gospel on December 3, 2008.

My Background: (Christian Education, Training and/or Experience) I received a Masters of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from the Masters College and Seminary in Santa Clarita, CA. I have been certified as a biblical counselor by ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors), formerly NANC (National Association of Nouthetic Counselors) as well as the NBCA (National Biblical Counseling Association, and I am also an active member of the Biblical Framework Counselors Association. 

My Hobby: I enjoy reading, playing chess, golf, fishing, and reading. Since I also worked as a Hotel Executive chef 15+ years, I have a heart for cooking and good food.

  Celebrate Recovery is a program designed to help those struggling with hurts, hang ups, and habits by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through the recovery process.


The purpose of prayer ministry is to equip the believers in Christ to relate to God more effectively in personal and intercessory prayer. We will also respond to the prayer needs of the Good Hope Family. The mission is that we will become powerful, productive people of prayer.


The bereavement ministry will provide support and comfort tot he family members and friends of the deceased relative of Good Hope members. The ministry will assist the family with other needs, share Christ's love and console family members who experiencing the death of the loved one.
