A Laugh to Change A Life

Friday, June 1, 2012 (Houston, Texas)  –  The Giggles for Ghana Benefit Comedy Show will further the mission of Building Leaders. Building Lives. Building Futures ™ in Nkwanta, Ghana, West Africa.

At WorldVenture Ghana, it is our goal to Bring Real Hope to people by Building Leaders, Building Lives, and Building Futures. WorldVenture Ghana was established to become a catalyst for change by endeavoring to develop programs that would assist in eradicating the cycle of poverty in rural communities. The organization was created based upon the core principles of helping communities develop sustainability and developing stronger families that will eventually bring about holistic transformation of the communities we serve.

Our headliner for the evening will be comedian Jason Earls. Jason is currently a full-time comedian using the gift of encouragement and talent of making people laugh as a means to fulfill the Great Commission of making Disciples of Christ. Jason’s ministry is called Serious Comedy because it “Presents a Serious Message Seasoned with Comedy.” Jason visited Ghana on a short-term mission trip and was so moved by his experience that he was determined to give back to this ministry as often as he could through the medium of comedy.

The proceeds from the event will go directly into the construction of an empowerment center for the most underserved district in Ghana – to include a library, computer learning center, health education center and vocational training center. Come join us for an evening of foot stomping, hand clapping, side aching seriously funny comedic acts and get ready to laugh a laugh that will impact what God is doing in Ghana!
