HOOPS 4 HOPE Basketball provides the opportunity for Christ’s people to exhibit love & character building through sports. H4H believes that sports provide insurmountable learning, loving, and Christ-like opportunities to empower youth to live a life above peer-pressure, negative influence, and mediocrity! Basketball provides a great opportunity to teach important life lessons including hard work, discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, and competition. The basketball training is designed to prepare and enhance athletes that desire to compete at the recreational, UIL and/or AAU level, and improve their chances for potential scholarships. The program integrates the passion for Christ and basketball together to help players understand that their God-Given athletic talents can be used on and off the court to glorify Him. By ministering to the hearts and needs of athletes and coaches alike, we hope to see a world changed for Christ.
PROGRAM GOALS
• Present God & Christ to Boys & Girls entering grades 7-12
• Teach the Fundamentals of Basketball
• Promote Sportsmanship
• Build Christian Character
• Teach Effective Conflict Resolution Skills
• Actively Engage Youth in Faith Based Activities
• Create opportunities to practice self-discipline & personal responsibility
There will be 2 opportunities for players to be evaluated:
Evaluation Day 1 | Saturday, April 14th
• Grades 7th & 8th 8:30am
• Grades 9th & 10th 10:15am
• Grades 11th & 12th 1:15pm
Evaluation Day 2 | Saturday, April 21st
• Grades 7th & 8th 8:30am
• Grades 9th & 10th 10:15am
• Grades 11th & 12th 1:15pm
The cost is $50 per player.
