I am Mark Slone, Missions Director, here at the Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, TX, where Dr. D.Z. Cofield is our Senior Pastor. This is my lovely wife, of 35 years, Marchelle.
We have found our place in God’s plan for the world, and trusting Him fully, we are answering His call, to a greater place of service and usefulness to Him, as full-time missionaries in the East African country of Uganda.
Our vision is to establish a discipleship ministry, in order to see healthy churches of Disciples, boldly living out the Christian faith in every sphere of life. Our Mission is to equip godly servant-leaders for ministering to and building up the Body of Christ, with a three-fold strategy.
God is asking you to partner with us in what He wants to do through our discipleship ministry in Uganda. We need your prayers, covering our entire journey from our transition, mobilization, effective ministry, and return. Not only do we need your prayers, you can help send us there, with your financial gifts, and support us there, with your monthly commitments.
Our desire is to mobilize sometime in late 2021, or when God opens the door to travel, and return in about 5 years. We would truly enjoy getting together with you (via zoom), to share more about our ministry plans and to answer any questions you may have.
