What We Do
Hope for Families INC. Food Pantry is a Drive Thru Food Distribution in partnership with the Houston Food Bank and provides food to families experiencing food insecurity in the metropolitan areas including surrounding zip codes. We serve over 500 families each week and distribute over 50,000 pounds of food monthly.

Volunteer Opportunities and Activities

  • Tuesdays: 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. / Receiving, Sorting and Storing Food
  • Fridays: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. / Preparing Food Packages
  • Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon /Distributing Food Packages to Families

Location & Check-In
Food pantry distribution takes place at the Center for Hope.

All volunteers are required to park at the front of the building and check in upon arrival. The rear of the building is reserved for Neighbor Clients, Food Distribution.

Group Volunteer Requirements

  • Maximum of 10 volunteers per group
  • If you are volunteering as a group (organization, discipleship group, family, etc.), please contact the Lead Servant to schedule your service date.
  • Please do not independently schedule group volunteer slots.
  • All groups must be approved prior to scheduling to prevent overlap in volunteer assignments.
