    A small group geared towards young adults aged 18 – 34.
  • Bereavement Ministry
    The Bereavement Ministry provides support and comfort to family members and friends of deceased Good Hope members as well as their deceased relatives. The ministry will share Christ’s love, console family members and support the needs of those experiencing the death of a loved one.
  • Discovery
    Membership Discovery seminars are designed to provide every potential member of Good H_ope a fundamental understanding of our faith, purpose and practice. Each seminar utilizes four sessions to discuss and explain different applications of our faith and provide practical steps in moving members from the pew to becoming mature believers who are exercising their spiritual gift(s) for the glory of God.

    The Men of Hope are committed to engaging, encouraging, empowering and reconciling men in the surround1ng community of Good Hope MBC to become_disciples of Jesus Christ by building relat1onships through prayer, teaching, witness1ng, fellowship, mentoring and love. We endeavor to make d1sciples of Jesus Christ who will love God and love God’s people. We welcome all men to join us on the journey.

    The Senior Adults Ministry endeavors to promote kingdom work by glorifying God through activi­ties that recognize the spiritual, emotional, physical and social needs of senior adults. Our goal is to maintain a spiritual atmosphere of service and witnessing for Christ that will provide love, joy and contentment for senior adults of our church and the community

    You don’t have to take your spiritual walk alone, do it with a Small Group! A small group is a group of three or more people who meet in a home, the church, workplace, coffee shop or via social media to develop biblical relationsh1ps, study God’s word, pray together, and serve in the local communities of Houston and surrounding cities. There is a group for you no matter where you are in life. Our small groups meet throughout the week at various times.

    The Women of Hope provide a welcome place where unchurched and unsaved women can connect an develop loving relationships with other women, be presented with the Gospel of Christ, grow in their relat1onsh1p with Christ, and reach out to the local community in service.
  • Expressions of Hope
    Expressions of Hope is a minstry of Good Hope MBC designed to assist funeral homes in support of unchurched and unsaved families when they have been touched by the death of a loved one.
  • Greeters
    Greeters server on the frontlines of our church’s hospitality ministries, and provide a positive first impression for guests.  We welcome visitors to the church with a smile, warm handshake, and pleasant greeting.  We also greet members and regular attendees to make them feel welcome to church each week.
  • Guest Relations
    The Guest Relations Ministry personally greets our guests to say thank you for joining us and makes them feel loved and welcomed through a hospitality reception.

    The Ministry Development Team helps develops new ministries and evaluates old ministries as a comparison to their established goals.

    Ministry Mobilization is responsible for helping people identify their spiritual gifts, passions, and experiences in pursuit of finding the most fulfilling ministry to serve in.

    The Ministry of Defense works to provide security and safety throughout the campus.
  • Parking Lot Ministry
    The purpose of the Parking Lot Ministry is to be the first contact with those who drive on our campus, to attend Sunday worship or other special services, demonstrating the love of Christ through our prayers, words, and smiles.
  • Sons of Hope
    The Sons of Hope is the ministry of the associate ministers of our church.  The Associate Ministers assist the ministry of the church in fulfilling a wide range of activities that include, but are not limited to pulpiteering, preaching, teaching Sunday School classes, Bible study, adult Vacation Bible School, serving the Lord’s Supper, baptizing, visiting nursing homes, hospitals, and homes to pray with individuals experiencing difficult times.

    Users endeavor to provide a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment for guests attending weekly services and special events.  We seat guests, distribute workship guides and other material, and function as ministry assistants to the pastoral staff during the worship service.
  • BRIDGE Builders
    The BRIDGE is where youth in 6th and 7th grades learn to apply the word of God to heir everyday lives through praise & worship, games, and interactive discussions.
  • Hoops 4 Hope
    Hoops 4 Hope teaches the fundamentals of basketball and Christ, promotes sportsmanship, builds Christian character, teaches conflict resolution skills, encourages physical fitness, and actively engages youth in faith.
  • T.R.U. Youth
    Teen.Radical.and.Unashamed for Jesus Christ or T.R.U. Youth is a ministry focused on youth ages 12-18. We strive to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ and Good Hope MBC as we love God, love people, and serve others to make disciples with a focus on the youth through impactful worship service, age specific small groups, dynamic fellowships, discipleship, and sports camps.

    The Christian Workers _serve as the primary connection point to guide and support those who desire to trust Jesus for salvation, needing the assurance of their salvation, and assist them in uniting with a local body of believers.

    The community and Social Services team facilitates the meeting of spiritual, material and emotional needs of the community by connecting them to both church and community programs that offer the love of Christ to people in need.

  • Legal Aid & Social Justice
    The mission of the Legal Aid Social Justice Ministry is to provide the Good Hope community with access to basic legal information and services necessary for evaluation, planning and resolution of legal matters. The ministry will also advocate and educate church and community members regarding trending policies and laws affecting them.
  • Prayer Ministry
    The Prayer Ministry serves to equip the believers in Christ to relate to God more effectively in personal and intercessory prayer and respond to all expressed prayer needs.
  • Prison Ministry
    The purpose of the Prison Ministry is to successfully enhance offender reintegration into the Third Ward and surrounding communities by providing services to offenders that encourage spiritual growth and reduce recidivism through in-prison seminars, jail ministry, aftercare programs, counseling, referral, and supportive services.
  • AWANA Bible Clubs
    AWANA Bible Clubs provide fellowship, food and fun as children sing, dance, play games and learn the power of God’s word through scripture memorization and team competition. The acronym AWANA comes from Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed found in 2 Timothy 2:15.
  • Children With Hope
    The Children With Hope minstry’s mission to love God, love all children, and change the world in order to make disciples of Jesus Christ. The ministry aims to provide a Christ-centered understanding of the Bible through age appropriate activities and worship.  All children (members of Good Hope as well as the community) are welcome!
  • Children’s Church
    Children’s Church is where boys and girls experience God’s love and the transforming power of God’s word through gospel-centered teaching, praise & worship, arts & crafts, and games.
  • Hearts of Hope Family Support
    Hearts of Hope Family Support provides behavioral services to children through structured group and one-on-one activities and with parent/sibling workshops as developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA).
  • UPWARD Sports
    UPWARD Sports (flag football, basketball, cheerleading and soccer) introduces children and their families to Jesus Christ through sports.
  • Vacation Bible School
    Vacation Bible School is an annual summer event where children learn about the love of God through games, fellowship and festive activities.
  • Adult Dance Ministry
    Our Adult Dance Ministry showcases the power of worship through movement. This ministry expresses praise to God through liturgical dance with a repertoire consisting of various Christ-centered, and occasion appropriate music.

    The Angels of Hope is Good Hope’s children’s dance ministry, bringing God’s word to life through the art of dance
  • Bells of Hope
    The Bells of Hope is a hand bell choir that rings recognizable music with melodies and harmony, in praise to God. The Bells of Hope is an intrinsic and permanent part of our liturgical and musical tradition
  • E5S
    The E5S Choir is designed for members of Good Hope who love to sing, but cannot commit to the weekly schedule that the other singing entities demand. We minister “Every 5th Sunday”.
  • Praise Team
    The goal of the Good Hope Praise Team is to lead people into the manifest presence of the Lord prior to the preached word. We exist to minister to the Lord through praise and worship, and to facilitate and create an atmosphere where the presence of the Lord can dwell.
  • Signs of Hope
    It is the mission of the Signs of Hope to help the deaf and hard of hearing worship God through the use of sign language; to fellowship with our brothers and sisters and facilitate a saving relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
  • Singing Men of Hope
    The Singing Men of Hope is Good Hope’s men’s choir ministering on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
  • Theater Under the Son
    Theater Under The Son (“TUTS”) is composed of talented children and adult actors and writers who love the Lord and desire to use their gifts in the area of dramatic arts to minister to the congregation. TUTS aims to prepare the hearts of the congre­gation to worship and hear biblical truths by addressing culturally relevant issues through acting, role plays and skits.

    The Voices of Hope is Good Hope’s adult choir, dedicated to leading the congrega­tion in worship to God; as well as singing for, and to the congregation. We glorify God at our highest possible level of excellence because He is worthy of our best! “Come before His presence with singing.” (Psalm 100:2)

    Administration provides logistical, process, administrative, and communication support for the needs of the Senior Pastor, pastors, ministries, congregation, and committees.
  • Marketing
    The Good Hope Marketing department is responsible for the development and design of all marketing material on campus. Television productions, monthly magazines, push cards are just a few of the design concepts we develop. Expe­rience is preferred but not necessary!
  • Media & Sound
    The Media & Sound Ministry is responsible for the audio, graphics, lighting and video components that enhance all worship experiences. Experience is preferred but not necessary!
  • Operations
    Operations is responsible for the opening, closing and ongoing operations of the Good Hope campus. Duties includes room scheduling, building maintenance, facilities requests, and transportation just to name a few. Come join our team.
  • Biblical Counseling
    The Biblical Counseling Ministry’s mission is to come alongside believers to guide, equip, support and comfort, admonish out of love and encourage while helping them relate God’s truths to their lives.
  • Christian Education
    Christian Education expedites spiritual transformation in the lives of believers through comprehensible, theological, and practical instructions of the Word of God compelling them to openly express genuine love for God and others.

    The Financial Management ministry aims to provide a foundation of financial stewardship by utilizing biblical principles.
  • Health and Wellness
    The purpose of the Health & Wellness ministry is to educate participants about the total care of one’s self (mind, body, and spirit) and to encourage and challenge indi­viduals to care for their temples (our bodies) and to prevent self-imposed risks.
  • Marriage Enrichment Ministry
    The Marriage Enrichment Ministry aims to equip married couples and those wanting to marry with the tools necessary to maintain and live out an effective and Godly marriage through biblical instruction, mentoring, fellowship, an effective prayer life and counseling.
  • Reconstruction of a Survivor
    The Reconstruction of a Survivor group improves the lives of those impacted by breast cancer. We carry this mission out through support group sessions that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of breast cancer patients.
